ScriptureSignal respects your privacy. This policy explains how the ScriptureSignal app accesses, collects, uses, shares, retains, secures, and deletes information.

- For signed-in check-ins, your selected mood, selected need, optional pressure label, and matched verse
Subscription data
- Subscription status
- Product identifiers
- Purchase verification tokens and transaction status used to validate access
- Billing status verified through Google Play or Apple
ScriptureSignal does not store your payment-card or bank-account details.
Location data (optional)
Only when you tap Detect My Place, your device may provide approximate or precise foreground coordinates. ScriptureSignal sends those coordinates through its protected backend to Geoapify to infer a broad place type for a study suggestion. The coordinates are discarded after that request and are not stored in your account, local study history, or a background-location service. You can always select a place manually instead.
Body & Soul self-report
The current Body & Soul feature uses only values you choose and enter yourself. Device health integrations are inactive. The Alpha app does not request Health Connect permissions and does not read heart rate, sleep, steps, body-sensor, or other device health records.
- The eight inputs, derived pressure label, routing, and self-reported history stay on your device unless you explicitly export the history.
- You can clear that local history from within the app.
- Any future device-health feature will require separate review, updated disclosure, and explicit opt-in before activation.

Data sharing
ScriptureSignal does not sell your data, including health and wellness data.
ScriptureSignal may share limited data with Google Play or Apple for platform subscription processing and verification, Supabase and other infrastructure providers used to operate and secure the app, and Geoapify only for a user-initiated Detect My Place request. ScriptureSignal does not use location for advertising.
Data storage and security
ScriptureSignal uses access controls, encrypted network connections, authenticated requests, and other industry-standard safeguards appropriate to the data it handles. No system can guarantee absolute security.
Body & Soul self-report history is device-local. Location coordinates used for place detection are not persisted after the one-time provider request.
Your choices and rights
You may access and export your account data, request deletion of your account and associated data, decline location access and select a place manually, revoke location permission through device settings, and clear supported device-local history.
Data retention and deletion
ScriptureSignal retains account data only as long as necessary to provide the service, protect the service, or comply with legal obligations. When an account deletion request is completed, ScriptureSignal deletes the account and associated user data unless specific information must be retained for a legitimate legal, security, fraud-prevention, or regulatory reason.
Delete an account in the app from Profile > Privacy & Your Data > Delete Account. If you no longer have the app, use the ScriptureSignal account-deletion page. Device-local Body & Soul history can be cleared within the app and may also be removed by clearing app storage or uninstalling the app.
Children’s privacy
ScriptureSignal is not intended for children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13.
Changes to this policy
ScriptureSignal may update this policy periodically. The current version and date will be displayed here and in the app. The app requires explicit acknowledgement of the current policy before account access continues.
